Redeemer: A Modern Take on the Brawler Genre

Redeemer is a full version action game developed by Sobaka Studio for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game puts you in the shoes of Vasily, an elite operative who once worked for one of the biggest Cybernetic Weapons Manufacturers in the world. After narrowly escaping the corporation's attempt to turn him into one of its cyborg soldiers, Vasily seeks refuge in a secluded monastery deep in the snowy mountains. However, after 20 years, the corporation finally closes in on his location, giving him one last shot at redemption.

The game offers intense top-down action, where you can take out enemies using a wide selection of firearms and melee weapons, including combat knives, batons, fire axes, hammers, and many more. Additionally, the game features brutal hand-to-hand combat, where you can use your mercenary skills to beat down opponents using a collection of brutal fighting moves, combos, charge- and jump attacks. The game also has a unique kill system, where you can use three different types of kills to mercilessly eliminate enemies. Finally, the game offers a story-driven single-player mode where you can discover Vasily's haunted past and experience a narrative journey of betrayal and redemption.
